La La Ling
La La Ling’s been dressing Los Feliz hipster tots for years, but they’re constantly finding new ways to bring something fresh to the small-fry fashion set. In addition to offering one of the most unique selections of clothing and accessories around, they’ve recently launched their very own designs, starting with their  “Frida” print—a crazy cool collaboration with local LA artist, Shplinton. The shop plans to add even more original designs this fall, including their “Los Feliz Palm Tree” shirt debuting at the end of August.

Californian Vintage available at La La Ling

Streetwear is no stranger to La La Ling’s line-up, but it’s looking to be a major inspiration for the coming season. With on-trend labels like Prefresh and Tiny Whales expanding their lines with fun bold graphics, ironic statements and hip-hop vibes, little ones can dress just like their tres chic parental set (yep, we mean you). Munster’s funky harem pants, cool snap backs and backpacks for both boys and girls are big winners as well. And who can ignore the power of the moccasin? La La Ling’s been carrying Jaxos Toes moccs for only a few months and they’ve literally flown off the shelves with new fall colors coming soon. Another new brand, Californian Vintage, is also doing especially swell and features groovy tees and tank repping their favorite school spots from Malibu, Venice, Beverly Hills and LA. Holla!

With several staff members on hand at all times, you’ll always receive a top-notch, private shopping experience and invaluable knowledge about LA’s fashion scene.

What’s in for fall? Digital photo print graphics are huge now. From socks and under clothes to tops and bottoms—check out lines like Molo, Living Royal and Penelope Wildberry who dominate this trend. Girls will go gaga over Molo’s digital printed leggings that spice up any ordinary top/tunic/dress with tons of color. And Pumpkinheads never forgets about the boys. In fact, their store carries way more guys’ gear than almost any other kids’ shop in town. Little dudes will dig Molo digital graphic print shirts paired with sweats or denim for a comfy, yet totally unforgettable look.

Lost & Found
With beautifully curated stores in both Hollywood and Santa Monica, Lost & Found has cool kids clothing covered from the hills to the beach. Trends are never king here, this colorful shop focuses more on classics with a twist, playing with hues and patterns that are always in style.

Bonheur Du Jour available at Lost & Found

In business for over 16 years, Lost & Found knows that fall is usually LA’s hottest time of year, so back to school threads still need to be lightweight, shorts and tees are still in play, and heavier items make an appearance much later. For girls this season, take a gander at dresses from Bonheur Du Jour (the shop’s favorite French line), as well as velvet vests and faux fur collars from Dagmar Daley, super soft smiley face sweatshirts by Picnik and elegant dresses from Nelly Stella that will hit stores soon. For lads, Lost & Found’s faves are graphic tees from Lucky Fish, sweatshirts by Picnik, lightweight pants and button downs from Dagmar Daly and great striped tees, pants and sweaters from Denmark brand, Mad Norgaard, which arrive in September.

Discount: Red Tricycle readers receive 10% off children’s clothing (not valid on sale items) online using discount code REDTRI.

Plus, Lark Cake Shop is right next door. (That is, if shopping with your delightful offspring wasn’t its own sweet reward).
